When iGoogle came out I stopped thinking that there is nothing more that Google could do to impress me. I new that whatever vision I may have of the future Google would have a reality and that reality would far exceed my vision or imagination. I rember this unique feeling I had when I first saw Google’s customize news. Then the knowledge that I saw how it unfolded, I saw how the building blocks were put into place to create a product that was beyond words.

Today Google has given me a Google Voice account and I couldn’t me happier. Only a few weeks ago I was telling my mother how soon we will have one number to call and that number will fork into all our devices. Two days later I read an article on Google Voice and found that the reality of what I was telling my mother was much closer than I had thought. I imediatly signed up on the off chance that I would get a chance to participate in the begining stages of this public release.

Google Voice allows me to put the a widget on might for you to get in touch with me, it transcribes and emails my voice messages for me, SMS as well. The number reaches me at home, my mobile, and my work. If I change any of the numbers the ones with my Google number need not update their phone books since they have the only number they will ever need.

I have only began to scratch the surface of the features provided, I want to explore them before I write about them. Today I have seen the future of phone numbers, and the future, as always when brought by Google is bright.
