Day 5 of the VincentClark dot com blog, and all appears to be going well. With rebuilding the VincentClark family of sites I have been researching and looking at a bunch of different technologies and how they interact together. WordPress has proved to be the best “homepage” solution. I am currently looking at Google’s Picasa to be the main photo share site, however, I have not looked too much into WordPress’s photo blog capabilities. Since the blog is being hosted on my 1and1 server, it might be best to put a bulk of the heavy lifting with the photos on a third party site, but time will tell to see which is the best solution.

Currently the most impressive feature I have found with WordPress is the separation of the data, structure and style, which is something I champion in everything I do. Before I make a full investment in the software in the concept, I need to test out the ability to backup the posts and transfer them to another median. This shouldn’t take too long and we should be doing full, engaging posts within the next week.

We have all waited for this day. The day where my thoughts stop flowing in via lengthy comments on a pseudo journalists’ site, or a detailed explanation in a reply to an email. Like most shows or events, it is important that you read the first three posts. This post, by nature, will not be very good. You may not know who I am and I may not know who you are. You might be asking yourself the question, why should I listen to this person? There are already so many people out there that seem to know what they are talking about, why not listen to them?

Unfortunately, I cannot explain this all to you in this first post, however, it is the overall aim of the vincentclark universe. I am not saying the world is filled with an abundance of no talent ass clowns currently posing as journalists. I am not saying that we as a people have lost our fundamental ability to critically view the world we live in. I am not saying that I have all the answers. The only thing that I can do is to inspire you to think that way, and inspire you to challenge what you read and see. I can only give a point of view and share with you how I gained that vantage point hoping that you as the reader will seek similar vantage points and look past the facade that our techno journalism has created. I can never say that I am right, however, I aim to make it perfectly obvious.
